My friends are having a pre X-mas party tonight, but my boyfriend does not want to go. He basically told me that I had to choose between seeing him and spending time with my friends. What can I do? You should go! He sounds like he is being way too controlling. It would be different if you never invited him, but since you did it is his choice and should not let that be your choice too. Tell him that he is more than welcome to come, but you are going no matter what, let him know that it would make you happier if he went, but hanging out with friends is important and he should know that.
';Get in trouble'; with him? What's he gonna do, ground you? Do not let a guy control you like he's trying to. Go to the party with your damn friends and stop being such a wuss.
