In the new year she would like me to move in with her, though I would only feel comfortable with it if I were engaged to her by then. The thing is she doesn't want to get married.

If you do not want to live with her without being engage do not do it and if she is telling her she does not want to get married do not force her. Both of you will have big regrets. You need to really sit down and talk to see if you guys can come to some type of compromise.Relationship advice please?
Elmo says you should proclaim your love by moving in with her then after a few months talk to her about the marriage thing again..
